'Art & Tea' Open Garden 2018

Open Garden: 11-4pm: Saturday 2nd & Tuesday 5th June

After the success of our first Open Garden last year in support of St Helena's Hospice, we've decided to do it again this year, in conjunction with an exhibition of fine studio pottery, entitled 'Art & Tea'. The exhibition will feature work by some of the UK's leading contemporary potters, including one of the hottest names in ceramics at the moment, Katharina Klug, Jeremy Nicholls, and Colchester's Sheila Madder. 10% of gallery sales on both Open Garden days will go to St Helena's Hospice.

Outside there is also plenty to enjoy. The dry gravel garden, planted with mainly Mediterranean plants, is packed with sculptures, and the one-acre lawn featuring mature trees/shrubs is dotted with inspiring monumental sculptures. The garden is looking particularly lush at this time of year and with any luck the poppies will be out in full glory.

Entry is FREE (donations are optional), with refreshments, cakes, and plants derived from the garden, available for sale. All proceeds will go to the Hospice.

The 'Art & Tea' exhibition continues on Saturdays, 11-4pm until 28 July.

The gallery and main lawn are wheelchair accessible. No dogs please. The gallery is unsuitable for small children due to the fragile nature of ceramics.
