Old English Alabaster, known as 'Fauld' - after the English village from which it was quarried.
Unique, 2020. Signed by the Artist.
Dimensions below are for the stone disc and do not include the granite base which measures 40 x 14.5 cm.
The title 'Fauld' comes from the name of the quarry in Derbyshire, where the stone is derived from. This stone has not been quarried for over 50 years, making it quite rare. It is now sourced mainly from reclaimed churches and historic buildings. This work is therefore a celebration of the beauty of the stone itself.
