David Trenow studied as a sculptor at Hornsey College of Art after an initial career as a civil engineer. He went on to become Head of Art at the prestigious Colchester Royal Grammar School.

David's passion for nature and folklore, natural form and the legacy of his engineering studies can all be seen in his work and ideas that are explored in a range of materials - most recently slate.

He has exhibited widely in the UK and also in Denmark and has work in the collections of Rufford Sculpture Park, Green King, Candor Motors and the Town sign for Brightlingsea.
