Tobias Ford is a British sculptor living and working in Suffolk. He sculpts mainly figurative and animal works of art constructed by welding fragments of steel together using a self-developed method. He also exhibits art works made from wire and plaster, playing on his intuitive manner of sculpting, and capturing movement as well as the line of form and weight of the subjects which inspire him.
After graduating from the Hereford College of Arts (HCA) in Applied Fine Arts, Tobias worked with renowned East Anglian sculptor, Laurence Edwards, Antonia Hockton, and ArtWorks, before focussing on his own practice at Butley Mills Studios in Suffolk.
He exhibits nationally and internationally, and has worked collaboratively with the writer, composer and artist, Dide Siemmond, in Sapporo, Japan, and Italy.
FURTHER WORKS TO FOLLOW. MORE WORK BY TOBIAS WILL FEATURE IN 'ANIMAL INSTINCTS' FROM 24 OCT - 18 DEC 2021.
